1.1. The Arrival of the Map

(Location: Narita Airport, Temporal Entry Gate)

Description:
Judai and Juna step into Tokyo not as tourists but as archivists of something invisible. Narita Airport hums with ordinary traffic, but their arrival marks the ignition of a 26-day cycle. Juna cradles a folded parchment — the calendric chart of temporality — speckled with notations, invisible to others. September 11, 2023, appears in red, circled at the top. This is not a beginning but a synchronization point. Their map links 9-11, 3-11, and 10-7 in a curved, looping structure that will unfold through hidden rooms, street reflections, and satellite shadows. The day is heavy with resonance, but the travelers are light-footed, calibrated for an invisible cinema that will never project but always unfold.

Very Short Story:
As they stepped through the arrivals corridor, Judai reached into the inner lining of his coat and withdrew a piece of translucent vellum marked with dots. Juna unfolded the chart slowly; she didn’t speak. The sound of rolling suitcases echoed like forgotten film reels. A red circle pulsed at the top — 9-11 — though no device emitted light. She whispered to no one, “It’s already begun.” They did not look at each other. They turned toward the exit. The city was waiting. And the city already knew.
