12.15. The Shelter Where the Clock Was Reversed
(Location: Evacuation Dome Epsilon)
Description:
Dome Epsilon was the most intact of the emergency shelters. Ventilation still worked. The interior glowed faintly blue. In the center stood a steel clock, its hands moving counter-clockwise. It had never run forward. Reports said it had been installed backward to confuse looters—or time. Juna stood beneath it for half an hour. Her pulse slowed. Her memories played in reverse. Judai sat with his notebook and forgot why he’d opened it. “This shelter isn’t for protection,” he said. “It’s for reversal.” Dome Epsilon did not resist catastrophe—it unmade it symbolically. And in doing so, it kept its occupants suspended, caught between aftermath and warning.

Very Short Story:
When they left, neither could remember how long they had stayed. Judai’s notes began with the word “AFTER” and ended with “BEFORE.” Juna’s book now had blank pages at the beginning, filled ones at the end. “The dome didn’t shield us,” she said. “It rewound us.” Outside, the wind changed direction.
