==== 6.17. Godaigo’s Telescopic Reversal ====
\\
(Location: Inverted Dome Chamber, Imperial Refractor Unit) \\

**Description:** \\
This observatory chamber is a dome in reverse---concave, subterranean, and built to hold only one viewer. At the center sits a hybrid telescope-altar. The lens faces downward, into a pool of oil. A sign above reads: *Godaigo’s Last Command: See Backwards First.* Juna activates the refractor. Images appear---not of space, but of failed coronations, ruptured processions, and illegible imperial documents. Judai reads a glyph scratched into the mount: “Chrono-loyalty.” A voice speaks from the oil: “You will obey the years in reverse.” The room fills with the scent of cedar and ozone. Juna leans forward. She sees her own shadow arriving ten seconds before she does. Time, here, is both memory and insurgent. \\

**Very Short Story:** \\
She watched herself bow before the image of a vanished emperor. But it wasn’t reenactment---it was pre-memory. Judai gripped the refractor and turned it slowly. Scenes flickered: the end of a war before it began, the silencing of a parliament never called to order. “We’re observing events in denial,” he said. “Denied even by their own century.” The oil stilled, then spiraled. A crown floated into view. Not to wear---but to return. \\
