(Location: Basement Level Archives, JOAC Castle)

Description:
In the observatory’s hidden basement archive, Juna and Judai found blueprints and faded photographs from an impossible building—the Manchurian National Steam Church. Its image was stored in an envelope marked “to orbit someday,” suggesting it had never been built, yet already abandoned. The church had no pews, only rails and pipes, and the altar was a fusion engine. Visitors, it seemed, came to confess their velocity. The plans were signed by multiple ministries: transportation, film, space exploration. Below the image, a note: *“Synchronize sermons with lunar transits.”* Judai folded the blueprint into a kite and tossed it upward. It caught a cross-draft from the observatory vent, spiraling toward the central dome where the telescope once lived. There, it dissolved in a beam of starlight filtered through history’s machine.

Very Short Story:
They didn’t know why the plans were hidden there, or why they felt reverence touching them. Juna whispered, “This was meant for launch.” Judai nodded, remembering a rumor about a church built of propulsion systems—its only hymn a countdown. The blueprint smelled of oil and dust, as if time had steamed off it repeatedly. They followed marginalia, discovering sermon titles like “Gravity is a Pardon” and “Acceleration is a Sacrament.” The envelope was lined with ash, suggesting it had burned once, or was meant to. At the very center was a tiny notch—intended, perhaps, to match some forgotten lunar key. They didn’t take it with them. Instead, they left it on a desk beneath a lens still tracking Jupiter.
