Description:
Marked only on obsolete railway maps, Junction 9 was a dead-end spur that terminated in a concrete wall. In front of it stood a gate carved with frogs in symmetrical combat poses, as if croaking at each other across time. Juna placed a coin in the center seal, and the wall reversed—became glass, became screen, became film. Behind it: looping footage of Judai and Juna themselves, boarding the bubble train from earlier that week. But something was wrong—Judai wore the frog emblem on the wrong side. “It’s a mirrored baseline,” she said. The frogs on the gate began to glow. Above the wall, the moon split briefly into two.

Very Short Story:
Judai touched the glass and it rippled. His handprint appeared on the other side—but the figure inside didn’t move. Juna knocked twice. A croak echoed from within. “That's not us now,” she whispered. “It’s us from a version that stayed.” The gate closed slowly behind them. The footage vanished. Only the frogs remained, their carvings now reversed—right where left had been.
