This map has been drawn 42 times. Each time, the roads avoid the building where the map is housed. Every iteration reroutes access, forming rings of non-acknowledgement. Juna finds the blueprint folded into a music sheet. Judai overlays it with streetlight intervals, revealing the perimeter to pulse once every 19 seconds. Inside the map, they see nothing—but outside, they realize they’re always just off the edge. This is not evasion—it’s protection. The map, conscious or not, refuses to place itself.
